Meet Dr. Temi – Our Staff Adviser
Are you a graduate student looking for support or facing challenges with coursework, advisor relationships, or interactions with colleagues? Are you navigating the complexities of your identity as a Black graduate student? Do you want to strengthen your competitiveness in the job market?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, it’s time to schedule an appointment with Dr. Temi Adeoye Olenloa!
Temitope (Dr. Temi) Adeoye Olenloa is a clinical assistant professor and assistant director of the Blue Sky Teaching & Learning Lab in the John Martinson Honors College at Purdue University. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD and her M.S.Ed. and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Purdue University.
Through her work in the Blue Sky Lab, Dr. Temi works with faculty and students to explore interdisciplinary pedagogies and identity development. She also directs the Heads Up Tutoring and Life Skills Program for youth in east-Lafayette and the Blue Sky Summer Scholars Program for Ivy Tech Community College students across Indiana.
Dr. Temi enjoys playing volleyball, singing the wrong lyrics to her favorite songs (with confidence), and streaming action movies or crime thrillers with her husband.
As an advisor for the Black Graduate Student Association, Dr. Temi advises the executive board and is available for guidance to BGSA members wanting a faculty perspective on their graduate school journey.
